Should a club wish to join the competition but is unable to host a race; an annual fee of £25 will be charged for payment before the first race.

Should a club wish to nominate a race under its Directorship for inclusion in the CLGP Race Calendar but not enter the competition itself, a fee of £100 will be charged, for payment before the race date.

(x) Runners cannot compete for more than one club in the Grand Prix in the same season. Results will only count for the first claimed club.

(xi) Runners will retain the Age Category in which they complete their own first race in the competition throughout its duration.

Host clubs are required to e-mail the results of their races to Vince Ashton as soon as possible after the race.

  1. Prize Presentation

Prizes will be presented as soon as possible (by mid-November) after the last race in the calendar at a suitable venue.

It is proposed that each participating club should, in rotation, undertake to host the prize presentation. This may be a recognised race, a ‘Social Run’ or a social event. The host club will fund the event and recoup any out of pocket expenses through an admission fee.

It was agreed that the following clubs should host the event for the next 3 years:-

2011: Wigan Phoenix

2012: Wesham

2013: Radcliffe

The host club for 2014 will be elected at the 2011 AGM.

  1. Web-Site up-date

A BlogSpot can be accessed via the following address:-

http://centrallancsgrandprix,blogspot.com

Links to individual member clubs also appear on this web-site.

Clubs are encouraged to furnish the Web-Site Co-ordinator with race reports and any other information which the runners from member clubs may find useful and which may help to promote the competition and the clubs therein.

  1. Date of the next meeting

Wednesday 7th December 2011 at Gin Pit commencing 7.30p.m.

  1. Any other Business

a). It was proposed that we review race statistics for the 2011 season at the next AGM in December 2011.

b). The possibility of organising a Relay event for member clubs during the Season was tabled. This would be a separate event from the competition itself and not be included in the scoring system.

Various ideas included:-

Teams of 5 runners

Minimum of 1 Team per club to enter

Runners of each leg to set off at intervals of 2mins – (Wesham already hold a similar event and can supply format details)

The event could be held on annual basis if successful which could be hosted by clubs on a rotational basis

Social gathering after the event desirable

Could be a night time event

Gin Pit seen as a suitable compact location for such an event

A&T to consider whether such an event at Gin Pit is feasible for the 2011 season and to revert.

Meeting closed at 9.20p.m.
