Terry Nortley, Club President of Radcliffe AC died in November, 2011, as a tribute to Terry, Radcliffe AC have named their 10 mile multi terrain race after him.
Terry was also a former President of Bolton United Harriers before the formation of Radcliffe AC. He coached to an exceptionally high level from Schoolchildren to Internationals, he will be greatly missed by those that he has coached over a 50 year period and those that new him.
He was one of life's true gentlemen and was always to be found at South East Lancs and Red Rose Cross Country meetings, encouraging people to give their best with his own brand of humour attached to his words.
